October’s Member of the Month: Karen Floeckher

Congratulations for Flo! You are our member of the month for October! Read below for an interview that I had with Flo:

Member of the Month Interview Questions:
1) How long have you been working out with Digman Fitness?
I started with Corey in August 2015, so as of this moment, I have been committed to
working out for two months.
2) What are some of your interests and hobbies?
I love lots of things! I love to read, write, watch films, play guitar and connect with
friends. Human stories are of particular interest to me. I also love to swim, bike, run,
do triathlons, and camp. I volunteer at an after school program, and spending time
with the kids is one of my favorite ways to spend my time.
3) What are some things you enjoy about training at Digman Fitness?
I love how Corey knows each of his clients. He knows their kids’ names, he knows
their work affects them, and he knows where they need help building strength. This is
a huge reason why I have decided to commit to working with Corey. I’m a person who
is truly seen by him, rather than a number in a large class. This is going to be the
most important contributing factor to my success this year, without a doubt. I love how
he tracks our progress and finds ways for each client to understand their individual
success. I trust him as a teacher of physiology and as a personal trainer. My favorite
routine has to be the card pick-up game. I would never make myself do that many
burpees! I also really appreciate the strength days because I feel real changes in my
body – more energy, greater strength, and fewer injuries doing my other sports.
4) What are some of your short/long term goals? This can either be fitness related or not.
I have 2 fitness goals. I would like to be able to complete a half-ironman distance race
in August 2016. I would also like to be able to hold up my body weight in a pull-up on
the zip line at Noah’s Ark in August 2016. One non-fitness goal is that I would also like
to perform a simplified version of Romanza on the guitar at an open mic.
5) If you were to recommend a friend or promote Digman Fitness, how would you describe your experience to them?
Digman Fitness is the best thing that has happened to me this year. I love Corey’s
business philosophy of consistent, present follow-through. He conducts his sessions
with authenticity and gentle humor, and is always focused on empowering his clients.
He looks at each client as a whole person, and cares about life-span functionality and
mobility. I feel that I am plugged into a solid foundation for my best life. I also really
like the other people in the small group sessions and feel that this is just a great fit. I
have nothing but gratitude that I learned about Digman Fitness. Thanks, Corey!
