Holiday Nutrient Shots

Every year the holidays seem to be a success when it comes to catching up with long-lost goodies of the year. This can be an exciting time to indulge in Grandma and Grandpa’s pie or mom’s famous dessert that everyone raves about. We have exercised, followed through with our diet plans and have even said ‘no’ to treats just so we could have that one slice of pie for Thanksgiving! Along with all the goodies, how can we safe-gaurd our health while with family and being careful not to spread any viruses?

That one extra meal can make a difference and make an impact on our health in a possitive way:

The Holiday Nutrient Shot

1 Serving=

1/2 apple of choice (one of the best choices of fruit besides dark berries)

1/2 cup parsley (the power food for great health! with many vitamins, minerals and cancer-preventing nutrients)

1/2 cup kale (great for fiber, vitamins (C), minerals, and antioxidants)

1/4 lemon

1/2 small cucumber (antioxidant-rich with anti-inflamatory properties)

1/2 cup water (more or less depending on thickness of choice)

*Blend together and enjoy!

*Let’s try good old fashioned FOOD this holiday seasaon to prevent against illness:)
