Commitment to your Goals

Staying fit and healthy is a big commitment initially for individuals forming a new habit. How can we stay focused and motivated to obtain our optimal fitness levels?

Top 5 strategies for achieving our goals:

  1. Find out why you want the particular goal-

A well enough goal would be to say, “I need to cut down on processed foods because they have chemicals in them and I need to finally lose that last 20 pounds.”–crystalline fructose, sucralose, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, etc.

A lot of “Gluten-Free” and “Low Fat” foods still contain chemicals that wreck havoc to our hormones and directly effect not only our weight loss goals, but our long term  health.

2. Just Decide-

There is not a ‘maybe’ when it comes to commitment. Find out what resources you need or information that needs to be gathered and follow through.

3. Support Group-

This is important and can lead to long-term success. Surround yourself with people that have had success before and that can provide accountability for you. Look at the top 5 people you hang out with on a weekly basis and determine if you are succeeding.

4. What is your ‘One-Thing’?

Having a long term goal is important but how can you take advantage achieving and following through? Set daily ACTION steps. These are your ‘One-Thing’ goals that you set aside for yourself everyday that work towards the ultimate goal.
